The first acquaintance with different methods of the field
geophysical researches for the students-geophysicists of geological faculty
takes place after the II course on educational practice from geological mapping.
In a recent year she is conducted in the settlement of the Kichkyry of Radomyshl
district, that on Zhytomyr’s region. This territory is interesting by the
geological structure, because on the Precambrian deployed rocks of folded
foundation, which abyssal intrusions broken through, the meso-eozoic deposits of
sedimentary cover.
In period of practice students meet with the methods of geological mapping,
independent geological routes are conducted with description of outcropping of
rock, selection of standards and application of such geophysical methods, how a
magnetics, gravity, radiometry and electrometry.

Educational
geophysical practice is conducted for the students of geophysical speciality of
the III course on the educational ground of sporting-health camp „Mriya", that
located in Plyoty of Kyiv region.
The detailed study of modern
geophysical apparatus is the primary purpose of practice, acquaintance with the
methods of tuning and preparation of her to geophysical researches, by a method
and technique of the field geophysical supervisions, by the methods of working
and estimation of quality of the field materials.
On educational geophysical practice four weeks are
selected (reference June, 1-28). During this time the students pass practice on
gravity, magnetics, seismic, secret electro-services, to radiometry and
geophysical researches of mining holes.
On every method 4-5 days are selected. The observance and
order of conducting of practice is determined by the methodical pointing on each
of methods.
Practice contains the important elements of experimental work: preparation of
network of supervisions, receipt of experimental data, their working and
interpretation, organization of report.
As
a result of educational practice to every student the differentiated estimation
is proposed (knowledge of geophysical methods, participation in writing and
registration of report, discipline and public activity, is taken into account).
As a result of geophysical survey the cards of the physical fields are built and
their interpretation is executed.
Carpathians are the second educational ground for geological practice. Territory
from geological sight has a difficult character. It is built by swiftly bedding
siltages: by sandstones, siltstones and argillites, which behave to the
golovetska’s and manyavska’s series.
