Lecturer, Dr. Vladimir Grechka in 1984 received his degree specialty "geophysical researches" in Novosybirsk State University in 1990 and his doctoral degree in Geophysics from the Mining institute (Novosybirsk, Russia). In the period from 1984 to 1994 he worked in the same institute as researcher. During 1994 and 1995 he was a Post-Doctorate researcher at Texas University of Dallas. Further, he entered to Geophysics Department of the Mining Faculty of the Colorado, where was as assistant and worked as one of the leading specialists of the Center wave phenomena. Since 2001 he senior geophysicist of Shell Exploration and Production. Research company. His investigation have focusing on the theory of wave propagation ifor sesmic anisotropic environment, velocity analysis, fracturing and microseismic. Vladimir awarded the Clarence J. Karchera Prize for Literature. from SEG (1997) i Eastern European Prize from from Earopean geophysical Society (1992). Vladimir Grechka is a member of SEG and EAGE.
Vladimir Grechka, senior geophysicist of Shell Exploration and Production company, Editor of Geophysics, made a presentation in auditorium ( 301) of Geological department on topic "How to write good paper on geophysics" due to sponsorship support of the Shell (April 23, 2010). Vladimir Grechka have read lecture" Application seismic anisotropy for oil and gas Industry" in High facility of postgraduate education "Institute Tutkovsky" April 26, 2010.
Section students of Julia Solomakha and Marina Zamanskaya have made excursions to major tourist places of Kyiv: Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra i Andriyivskiy uzviz. The next day, section advisor Pavlo Gryshchuk has walked with Vladimir throuth historic Kyiv: similar to Aldo Vesnaver's trips, but in the opposite direction and with excursions into the Mikhail Bulgakov house.
